The reserve stretches over 7,750 hectares of indigenous fynbos vegetation and features dramatic cliffs, secluded bays, and hidden valleys.
The reserve is home to an array of animal species, including antelope, baboons, and ostriches, as well as over 250 species of birds. Along the coastline, visitors can witness the awe-inspiring sight of whales and dolphins frolicking in the waters.
Cape Point Nature Reserve is also rich in history and culture, with several historical landmarks to explore, including the lighthouse that has been standing tall since 1859, and the old Cape Point Lighthouse, which was decommissioned in the 1900s.
