We live in a world where we find ourselves searching, outside ourselves, for happiness. But for the most part, this goal has remained elusive; temporary at best. In our continued search, we've found temporary 'fixes'; go-to's that reliably give us a taste of that same 'feel-good' emotion. And so we've developed addictions. Addictions to more than just substances, but to environments, people, behaviours, beliefs, circumstances. The problem is, now we're relying on the outside world to be a certain way in order for us to be ok.
